Catching a taxi
Cairns Taxis provides door to door passenger transport service throughout the Cairns taxi district. As well as the CBD, this covers the coastal area Ellis Beach to the north and south to Wrights Creek, Edmonton. A taxi fare will be approximately $25 AUD.

The registration desk is located on the ground floor of the Cairns Convention Centre. Please direct any questions you may have regarding registration, session attendance or other elements of the conference to the staff at this desk. The registration desk will be open at the following times:

All conference delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and accompanying persons are obliged to wear the Official Conference Accreditation at the conference and associated activities. Each accreditation has a QR bar code, which will give you access to all sessions and social events that you have registered to attend. This must be worn at all times within the conference venue.
All delegates will receive a conference satchel and program when registering at the Conference. The satchel will include promotional information from our sponsors. An electronic copy of the handbook will be available for download from the website and on the Conference app.
In the lead-up to the Conference small updates will be made to the program. See the latest version on the website . Any changes to the Conference program during the Conference will be announced during housekeeping notices each morning and updated on the conference app.
Delegates are not permitted to use any type of camera or recording device at any of the sessions unless written permission has been obtained from the relevant speaker. A professional photographer will be at the conference, if you have any issues with being photographed please notify the conference secretariat.
Full Registration includes attendance at all sessions during the days of 17 to 21 September 2017. Full registration also includes the conference satchel, name badge, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments and entry to the Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner.
Day Registration includes attendance at sessions on the nominated day of attendance, a conference satchel, name badge, lunch, morning and afternoon refreshments on the day of attendance.
Day registration does not include tickets to the Welcome Reception, ACWAP Dinner, IAWP Lunch or Farewell Dinner. Tickets to the social functions must be purchased separately at an additional cost.
You must advise the conference secretariat of any special dietary requirements when you register for the Conference. Caterers at each function will be informed of these. If you are unsure, please don’t hesitate to ask staff at the registration desk.
IMPORTANT– If your dietary request relates to a life threatening allergy, please ensure that you advise the secretariat as soon as possible.
After registering for the Conference you would have been emailed a Registration Confirmation which lists all social functions for which you are registered. If you require another copy please email email@example.com. Tickets to the Welcome Reception, IAWP Awards Lunch, ACWAP Awards Dinner and Farewell Dinner are included in each full registration. Additional tickets for social functions can be purchased in advance online form and at the registration desk (subject to availability).

By registering for the Conference, participants agree that IAWP, ACWAP, QPS, the
Organising Committee or the Conference secretariat do not assume any responsibility for injuries to persons or damage to property during the Conference. Participants are advised to take out their own health, travel and personal insurance prior to the conference. The policy should include loss of fees through cancellation of your participation in the Conference itself, loss of airfares for any reason, medical expenses and repatriation should travel arrangements have to be altered.
